nearly a full year since i first (and last) posted on here, i'm back again LOL

a lot has happened in the past year since i last posted here, and i meant to update this blog with everything that's been going on and all the places n events i've been to, but time just escapes me and my brain doesn't work too good so it's really hard to be consistent aufduighdfjib but i'm trying n surviving as best as i can :')

i guess to start off with this post i wanna talk about some of the things i did over the last year! i will eventually make some individual posts about some of these at some point as well, especially since i have a lot of photos and thoughts to document here, but i will just keep it basic for now.

shortly after i made my last post on here i went to london mcm expo again! i've been attending since october 2009, but i went on break from cosplaying to it quite a while ago up until last year's may expo, where i did a casual cosplay of 2B from nier:automata! i did take a selfie of myself in the cosplay, but i'm going to save posting it until i make an entry about another event i attended early this year... the nier:orchestra concert 12024 show >:)c i also saw duran duran live for the first time last may and also saw FEMM perform twice, first at hyper japan last summer and then at their final international concert in december! i've been a huge fan of FEMM for many years, but never got to see them at their previous shows due to just being very busy at the time, so i'm extremely glad i managed to catch them twice in their final year before they disbanded ;_; ♡

another cool thing i saw this year was the totoro stage play at the barbican with my friends!! genuinely the best and most amazing stage play i've ever seen in my life, and we had some really tasty korean barbeque before the show 😋 the puppets used for the show were insanely well made, and HUGE?? i believe the show is now moving to the west end for next year's run, so i definitely recommend going to see it for yourself if you can!! and this is coming from someone who's never watched a ghibli movie outside of maybe like the first 20ish minutes of totoro LMAOOO it was so cool......

there's also one more Big Major Thing i did last year... i went on my first ever solo trip abroad, to japan!! i had been to japan before with my parents back in 2016, but i went again all on my own in september! i will be doing some more in depth posting about the trip on here at some point since i have so much to talk about, and i'm also going to be putting together my videos and pictures from the trip to post on my vlog youtube channel when i have the time, but man i've been yearning about that trip ever since i came back home. i hope i can do another trip again sometime soon... ideally i would love to visit every year or move there someday, but i don't know anything about moving countries and flight tickets are abysmally expensive, which is such a shame because accommodation, food, travel... EVERYTHING in japan itself is so affordable in comparison to england _(:'3」∠)_ get me out of here

this year i have quite a lot of projects and things i'm working on... i've been in the process of redecorating my room as of the end of last year, and i also put together my first ever pc build! i was in dire need of an upgrade since my previous gaming pc i had since 2016 had been begging to be put out of its misery for a very long time LOL now everything works super smoothly and i'm so ready to play FFXIV's dawntrail when it releases... to the detriment of my bank account TT_TT i would like to find another small job to do this year to increase my income but finding something that's suitable for me and my needs and doesn't eat all of my free time is extremely difficult;;

other than redecorating i've been slowly chipping away at a bunch of art pieces! i'm also going to be working on a new voicebank for my UTAU bobbi starting this month! the last time i made a voicebank for them was well over a decade ago, and i've desperately tried to make a new one so many times over the years but struggled with severe depression and lots of unfortunate events in life that all just got in the way of my progress hmbnvcbm i'll forever be upset that a lot of things just got in the way of me engaging with this hobby and the community that i love so dearly, but i'm trying my best to return to it this year. i've been working on bobbi's new outfit design as well and i can't wait to finally finish it <:)

some other things i have on my to-do list are to finish some more things for my online store, and finally figure out how to code my neocities site. coding is hard ;_;

that's all i wanted to update this blog with for now and i hope to post some more on here again soon!! i'll probably talk about my collections n such next time as i'm hoping to finally get my new bookcases this month, and i'm gonna have an absolute Time decorating all of the shelves and figuring out where i'm going to store a million empty figure boxes hAHAAA ⚰️
